DESTINATION Cascada Paine (Waterfall)

This spectacular waterfall is located on the Paine River, in the Laguna Amarga sector, next to the road that leads to Laguna Azul.

From here you can see the Torres del Paine, three striking towers formed by needle-shaped granitic rocks that gave the park its name.

Climbers from all over the world come to the park every year to try to reach their tops, climbing their vertical walls with interesting degrees of difficulty.

TIPS

Always follow the instructions of park rangers so you may enjoy your trip: do not use fire in unauthorized places and do not go out from demarked trails to avoid accidents.

To arrive to Torres del Paine, you must take a transfer or ask for the buses that go to Puerto Natales (at the north of Punta Arenas). From there, you will find lots of tourist services that will take you to Torres.

It is strictly forbidden to make fires and light cigarettes on the trails. In the event of a fire, try to put it out or give immediate warning to the nearest park ranger.

Patagonia is an area of constant wind, especially during spring-summer; it can reach an average speed of 30 to 40 km / hr.
