TIPS

It is essential to have a map and tide schedules. It is a coastal ecosystem usually affected by wind and rain, so it is essential to have a good tent, sleeping bag, warm clothes, water clothes, a first aid kit and a filter to purify the water.

We also recommend bringing Chilean pesos, most of all for buying basic needs. Some stores accept credit and debit cards but it is not common in all of them.

Always follow the instructions of park rangers so you may enjoy your trip: do not use fire in unauthorized places and do not go out from demarked trails to avoid accidents.

Before your trip, you must have in mind the clothing that you’re going to pack because Patagonia is very cold and extremely windy, warm clothes are fundamental.
